Holding on to Hope

September 30, 2009

Just to let you know I hate pink but I think this is such a great cause and after seeing pink on canvas I think I might do a couple more with pink it but not a lot lol.

My latest painting – “Holding on to Hope” This gothic girl hates pink but she said she will do a portrait for a great cause Breast Cancer Awareness. However she refused to take off her black combat boots typical of her. She is holding a heart shape breast cancer ribbon in honor of this month. Hopefully one day there will be a cure for this.

You can find this piece at my Etsy shop or my ArtFire Shop and she is $50.00 for a 9″x12″ original painting.

ArtFire & Etsy

September 18, 2009

I decided to take a different approach of selling my originals and I hope it works. With ArtWanted it is more like a gallery than selling anything and well I just realized that. You have to take that leap to see and I didn’t know that. I mean people were also selling stuff there but it was like 40% was selling the rest was just showing it off. I am still going to keep ArtWanted just for a portfolio to show off but that is it.

My new approach is well you guessed it ArtFire and Etsy. This is the break down that I figured with my originals.

With ArtFire if you don’t have a paid account you can only list 12 items so I figured I will list 12 originals and see if any sells if they do then I will get a paid account but not until after I sell something or more.

So I figured between ArtFire and Etsy I would split my originals right now on ArtFire I have 3 originals I have Portrait of Alice, Guardian Keepers #1 and Voodoo Kitten (click on them to get to listings and to buy)

With ArtFire you can do Best Offer which of course I did so anyone can put in an offer on one or all (I won’t be offended with the amount you offer trust me I just want my art to get to people that will enjoy it just as much as I create them)

With Etsy I have 2 originals up there again click on them to go buy them they are Flame and Midnight Grave #1

With Etsy you don’t have the opition to do the best offer.

My goal anyways is every time I do a new original I will post it to every other one like for instance this new Halloween piece I am doing it will go to Etsy since I only have 2 there and then next it will either go to Etsy or ArtFire then the opposite with the next original.

Which ever one get more sales is the one I will stick with and occasionally put up a new original on the other. It never hurts to try.

Well I know I said my Halloween piece was going to be done sooner but things came up however it will be posted tomorrow sometime. I am just putting the finishing touches on it.

New Art

September 10, 2009

My latest art piece and series is an inspiration from my cats, yes you heard right from my cats. One of my cats Demon the way she looks at you she looks like she is giving you an attitude. Then my other cats likes to sit on our night stands and act like they are gargoyles. Now that you know the back story on how I got this series here it is.

The new series is called Guardian Keepers: Gargoyle girls that looks pissed off. They are very cute I really really enjoy this series. This is the first one out of the series and yes more to come I already have 3 more drawn up for it. This first one has purple and black stripes and gray like gargoyle wings and behind her is a huge moon with clouds. Her she is Guardian Keepers #1

Isn’t she adorable though you can click on the image and it will take you to Art Wanted and you have the option to buy her for $30.00 or to look at her bigger. This piece is painted on a flat sheet of canvas with acrylics and the image is 6×6. The watermarks is for display only not on the actual painting.

Well that is it for now
